Overlays
One feature I like in OpenALPR Webhook Processor is its ability to set the text overlay on the video feed after a plate has been recognized. In my live view it then shows the data is has in the lower right corner for a few seconds after the car passed. There is probably a better way to do this in BI! Alternatively, in HA you could probably create an automation to do the same.
All I need to do is set the URL for the overlay:

In Blue Iris, you can use the %002 macro to display the detected plate for a camera. I’m using that with PlateRecognizer, but I think it should work for the ALPR module too.
BI macros are great for not having to manually type the camera number or name as well. For example, I have two LPR cameras and their overlay text is:
%016=%015 %002
The resulting text is “Cam3a=LPR-front 9ABC123”
There are more examples if you check the BI documentation on “Macros”.
What could be useful is if some other data from the ALPR Database could be sent back, such as the detected tag, number of reads, newly detected, days since previous read, etc.

Great idea
