If I pick a date like 3/2/2025 from the date filter (on live view or database view), I’d expect to see any plate reads between local midnight of 3/2 until 11:59 pm of the same day. But what I’m seeing is shifted by 8 hours meaning 3/1 at 4pm until 3/2 at 3:59pm.When fixing this, please account for standard vs. daylight saving too. For example, on Sunday 3/9/2025 when the time change occurs, the period from midnight to midnight is actually 23 hours because we spring forward. And in the fall, the period from midnight to midnight is 25 hours because we fall back.For example, if I pick Sun 3/9/2025 when the time change occurs, I expect that to get 23 hours of plates from 3/9/2025 0:00 PST (3/9/2025 8:00 UTC) to 3/9/2025 23:59 PDT (3/10/2025 7:00 UTC).

I have a neighbor with a plate that is consistently misread, sometimes correctly as 2RTE888 and often incorrectly as 2RIE888. It would be nice if I could mark the 2RIE888 as a known misspelling of 2RTE888 and it would automatically correct.One way the record could be created is when editing a plate read, it could create a “correction" entry in the database that could then do it automatically for future misreads of that plate.

Allow for "misread" plates to forward to the correct plate.

Sometimes the license plate doesn’t get caught. I have a clone on the LPR camera running vehicle detection so that if a vehicle is recognized it will still send a telegram alert of the vehicle. Is it possible to create a database of cars too? What is the purpose of the Flagged Vehicles table? As I’m busy filling up my Known Vehicles table, I wonder if a “Flagged Vehicle” could just be an attribute in the Known Vehicles table instead?

On all the action icons, it would be helpful to have associated tool tips when hovering the mouse over the icon (just like the icons on the sidebar).This would be true of any tables that include actions (Live Feed, Database, Known Plates, etc.)

It seems like each time the browser tab loses focus, the next time I come back I have to login again. Can you check the logic and see if it can have a little more persistence. Or like UI3, have the option to auto login?

From prsmith777: I would like to request ability to have ALPR program send an MQTT message when a plate is received that contains the plate name as the payload. Not the plate number but the learned/saved name I have associated with a certain plate that is in the database.For instance, let's say "ABC 123" plate has a saved name as "Bob's Cadillac" in the database. When Bob drives up the driveway with plate ABC 123, MQTT message is sent with payload "Bob's Cadillac".This will help for making announcements with Home Assistant or Home Seer.

TPMS Integration

One feature I like in OpenALPR Webhook Processor is its ability to set the text overlay on the video feed after a plate has been recognized. In my live view it then shows the data is has in the lower right corner for a few seconds after the car passed. There is probably a better way to do this in BI! Alternatively, in HA you could probably create an automation to do the same. When on the Live Feed and you go to delete a plate, the assumption is you want to delete that instance of the plate that was read, not ALL plates. Delete from Plate Read does a deletion of all records

Check file hashes and explore other ways to make it as robust and unmessupable as possible. Can probably pull the schema out of the database and check it. Should note or handle more carefully that changing the db password in the yaml will break it. Lock it down somehow… Or track the deployments more granularly.
