Allow for "misread" plates to forward to the correct plate.
I have a neighbor with a plate that is consistently misread, sometimes correctly as 2RTE888 and often incorrectly as 2RIE888. It would be nice if I could mark the 2RIE888 as a known misspelling of 2RTE888 and it would automatically correct. One way the record could be created is when editing a plate read, it could create a “correction" entry in the database that could then do it automatically for future misreads of that plate.
Car Database
Sometimes the license plate doesn’t get caught. I have a clone on the LPR camera running vehicle detection so that if a vehicle is recognized it will still send a telegram alert of the vehicle. Is it possible to create a database of cars too? Maybe by color.
BI version 6 update
Any eta on BI 6 update support? For some reason it always reports numerous plates to the DB S before it would just report the most reliable one

Configure Plate Parameters
It would be helpful if you could enter an expected format and then easily query for plates that don’t match. The format should be configurable, as different areas may have different plate formats. Also, a quick way to single out any outliers would be wonderful. Spot checking these should be quick and easy. Example: ZZZ9999 (3-alpha,4-numeric) A plate such as ABC1234 meets the expected parameters, while AB789 is unexpected. It may be valid, but most likely there is an issue with the AI recognition. A quick look at the image should clear it up.
System will consistently require login during an existing session
This was previously noted as “fixed” but it is not completely fixed. I can log in, do work on the recognition feed and after awhile, perhaps after viewing some BI footage, adding known vehicles, correcting plates, the system will just jump back to the login screen. Please make it behave a lot more like UI3 and perhaps have the option to persist the login and not require it over and over? It’s really annoying as it is.
Scrypted, Dahua or Synology fork?
This is a looooong shot but would it be any way possible to do a fork for either dahua, scrypted, or Synology?
Question: Flagged vehicles table
What is the purpose of the Flagged Vehicles table? As I’m busy filling up my Known Vehicles table, I wonder if a “Flagged Vehicle” could just be an attribute in the Known Vehicles table instead?
Add tooltips to Action icons
On all the action icons, it would be helpful to have associated tool tips when hovering the mouse over the icon (just like the icons on the sidebar). This would be true of any tables that include actions (Live Feed, Database, Known Plates, etc.)
Option to configure default timescale on the dashboard
Currently, this always resets to 24 hours by default. It would be nice to have the default setting configurable, or alternatively, to remember the last selected scale.

Date filters don't respect local timezone
If I pick a date like 3/2/2025 from the date filter (on live view or database view), I’d expect to see any plate reads between local midnight of 3/2 until 11:59 pm of the same day. But what I’m seeing is shifted by 8 hours meaning 3/1 at 4pm until 3/2 at 3:59pm. When fixing this, please account for standard vs. daylight saving too. For example, on Sunday 3/9/2025 when the time change occurs, the period from midnight to midnight is actually 23 hours because we spring forward. And in the fall, the period from midnight to midnight is 25 hours because we fall back. For example, if I pick Sun 3/9/2025 when the time change occurs, I expect that to get 23 hours of plates from 3/9/2025 0:00 PST (3/9/2025 8:00 UTC) to 3/9/2025 23:59 PDT (3/10/2025 7:00 UTC).

Can't sort or filter the Known Plates table
The default sort is newest to oldest entry. There is no way to override that, to sort it by another field, filter the records, etc. It would be nice to be able to sort/filter by the Plate, the Name or Added On. And also to be able to filter tags.
Live Feed - can't select hour range filter, if live updates enabled
If I click on the ‘Hour Range’ filter while live updates are enabled, there isn’t enough time to do anything before the “live updates” action refreshes the view and dismisses the dialog. If live updates are turned off, then the dialog stays around and I can select the start and end hour range.

One feature I like in OpenALPR Webhook Processor is its ability to set the text overlay on the video feed after a plate has been recognized. In my live view it then shows the data is has in the lower right corner for a few seconds after the car passed. There is probably a better way to do this in BI! Alternatively, in HA you could probably create an automation to do the same. MQTT Notifications for HA
From prsmith777: I would like to request ability to have ALPR program send an MQTT message when a plate is received that contains the plate name as the payload. Not the plate number but the learned/saved name I have associated with a certain plate that is in the database. For instance, let's say "ABC 123" plate has a saved name as "Bob's Cadillac" in the database. When Bob drives up the driveway with plate ABC 123, MQTT message is sent with payload "Bob's Cadillac". This will help for making announcements with Home Assistant or Home Seer.
Have to keep logging in
It seems like each time the browser tab loses focus, the next time I come back I have to login again. Can you check the logic and see if it can have a little more persistence. Or like UI3, have the option to auto login?
